More from C.B. Caleb

In a world that is growing darker and where hope seems far away, we need to hear about the goodness and faithfulness of God all the more. This little book of true God Stories will introduce you to the wondrous ways Holy Spirit works to accomplish His will and purposes. Sometimes referred to as miracles, these “Kisses from Heaven” have most often come as a complete surprise or at the eleventh hour to turn ordinary events into inexplicable, extraordinary, or even supernatural ones. Whether you are doubtful and need a reason to believe or you are a faithful believer grown weary in your walk, you will find story after story of God’s gracious intervention in the lives of mortal men and a hopeful reminder of the goodness and faithfulness of our heavenly Father. So, Christian, come join us for a walk through our encouraging, if not eye-opening, personal little book of God Stories. We pray it becomes the harbinger of Jesus sharing tender mercies to and through your own lives, leading to an awesome Kiss from Heaven or two for you to pass on to the kids, grandkids, and generations to come.

Interview with the Author

Why do you think the topic of your book is important?

Jesus did this often: Why do you think I died on the cross? A question for a question. God is always acting sacrificially in our lives, giving us His time to provide for and protect us in our lives, integrally entwined in our thoughts and actions, wishing the best for us and willing to do what is necessary, whether we are aware of what He is about or not. He is a good Father, wants us to know it, will do everything He needs to bring us into relationship with Him, and grieves to know that even Jesus may not be enough.

Why do you think this topic is needed?

There is so much unbelief in humankind. My father used to say, “You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink.” You can lead people to Jesus but cannot make them believe. Thomas the doubter needed proof. Jesus understood and said, “Here, put your hands into these wounds.” Then Thomas believed what was most important: “My Lord and my God.” Jesus used miracles to intervene in the lives of men to bring them to believe in Him. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

What did you learn from writing your book?

God intervenes in our lives all the time. We must learn to wait, watch, listen, hear and obey instantly, joyfully, and completely (Joy Dawson) when He speaks or shows up to intervene. Then He will open our eyes and believe. Miracles are for today and for a purpose. Ask Thomas. Ask me.

Outside the Bible, what is the one book or author that had had the biggest influence on you?

Madame Guyon open my eyes to see Jesus was enough. Her books changed her world and as they have re-emerged are guides to becoming what the Bible preaches. I am old now, and her words fail me, but I remember when I opened that first Guyon book and how God used it.

If you could sit down with someone for five minutes, what would you say to them?

I would preach the gospel by first seeking a way to relieve their pain with an encounter with Holy Spirit, their healer. Then the gospel would have legs and carry itself. Proof of the pudding is in the eating.
